We are looking for PhD students in sciences or social sciences who like to get into a subject and who are able to contribute to finding creative solutions for the many problems facing blood tranfsusion medicine.
You need to be enthousisastic, eager to learn and to be sociable. We can offer you a stimulating, multidisciplinary research environment at international level. You will be working with other PhD students, senior investigators and students.
There will be ample opportunity to follow courses. You will be supervised daily by one of the researchers of the department where you work. There is also a small monitoring committee with a number of resaerchers from other departments, that will follow and guide you throughout your PhD-student work.
In the Netherlands, PhD theses are defended before a committee in an academic session open to public. PhD students receive a modest salary.
